I have now ridden ~700 miles on Speedy!
Sara outdid herself this year. This ranks up there with "best present ever".
Joe flew in first for some extended bonding time. We had a nice Christmas in Napa with Sara's extended family.
The first quarter of b-school was kinda awesome. I met a bunch of cool kids, learned a lot more about finance than I thought I was going to, and the material in class was incredibly relevant to the crashing economy and failing banks. We talked about mark-to-market financial accounting the weekend before Lehman Bros tanked! Very cool.
The first two classes I took are both core classes (meaning they're obligatory): Financial Accounting and Organizational Behaviour.
Next quarter, Winter 2009, I'm going to take Microeconomics with Victor Stango (and a textbook co-authored by Ben Bernanke!), and Statistics with Bill Ellis.

Fleet Week comes to San Francisco! From aircraft carriers on the bay to Blue Angels and Canadian Snowbirds in the air, it was yet another incredible show.
I'm starting business school at UC Davis! It's the Bay Area Working Professional (evening and weekends) program, classes on Fridays and Saturdays every two weeks for the next three years. I guess this is the end of wondering 'what shall I do this weekend?'
